18. Sir John SCOTT of Thirlestane (William (Sir)¹¹, John William (Sir)⁶, William of Scott's Hall (Sir)², John¹) was born in 1490 in Thirlestane, Scottish Borders, Scotland and died on 14 Sep 1549 in Thirlestane, Scottish Borders, Scotland, at age 59.

John married Janet SCOTT of Allanhaugh, daughter of Robert SCOTT of Allanhaugh and Margaret BYE. Janet was born in 1492 in Haddington, East Lothian, Scotland and died on 18 Aug 1606, at age 114.
