Michael married Johanna DAVERN, daughter of Michael DAVERN, in 1863 in Victoria, Australia. Johanna was born about 1840 in County Clare, Eire, Ireland and died on 19 Jun 1926 in Lancefield Road, Kilmore, Victoria, Australia aged about 86.

Children from this marriage were:

+ 3    i. James Thomas AHEARN was born on 12 Jun 1866 and died on 18 Nov 1952 at age 86.

+ 4    ii. Patrick William AHEARN was born on 12 Jun 1873 in Kilmore, Victoria, Australia and died on 15 Jun 1944 in Kilmore Hospital, Kilmore, Victoria, Australia at age 71.
