5. John Frederick William LENNOX ^1,4 (Charlotta Sophia Elizabeth HESS³, Friedrich "Frederick"², Daniel¹) was born in 1884 in Carlton, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia⁴ and died in 1982 in Parkville, Victoria, Australia at age 98.

John married Lillian EDWARDS ¹ in 1914 in Victoria, Australia. Lillian was born in 1889 in East Melbourne, Victoria and died in 1952 in North Carlton, Victoria, Australia at age 63.

6. Charlotte Maud LENNOX ^1,4 (Charlotta Sophia Elizabeth HESS³, Friedrich "Frederick"², Daniel¹) was born on 30 Dec 1886 in Carlton, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia⁴ and died on 4 Jul 1978 in Parkville, Victoria, Australia at age 91.

Charlotte married Arthur Sydney MILLARD.¹ Arthur was born in 1877 in Beechworth, Victoria, Australia and died in 1936 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia at age 59.

The child from this marriage was:

+ 8    i. Sylvester George Lennox MILLARD ^1,8 was born on 27 Oct 1914 in Carlton, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia and died on 22 Dec 2000 in Kew, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia at age 86.

7. Thomas James LENNOX ⁷ (Charlotta Sophia Elizabeth HESS³, Friedrich "Frederick"², Daniel¹) was born in 1892 in Carlton, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia,⁷ died on 27 Jun 1972 in Coburg, Victoria, Australia at age 80, and was buried on 29 Jun 1972 in Fawkner Cemetery & Crematorium, Fawkner, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

(Official records show Thomas' birthplace as Fitzroy, however this may
only have been the location of the place of registration - Reg No.
13241).

Thomas was born at Lee Street in Carlton where he attended the Princes Hill School as a child.

He was known as Pop Lennox by his grandchildren. His parents both died at a very young age, his mother was only 28 and his father was only 30.

It is not known as to the timing, or space between their deaths.

Prior to the Depression he had a General Store in Mt. Alexander Road in Flemington.

In later years he had a small 'stall' or kiosk where he used to sell snacks and cigarettes, in the old Ampol building which was opposite the Royal Melbourne Hospital in Melbourne, VIC.

The Lennox family name has an established a link back to Mary Queen of Scots (anecdotal evidence only).

Thomas married May Alice WHITE,^1,7,9,10.^,11 daughter of John George WHITE and Annie LEWCOOK. May was born in 1897,^7,12 died in Aug 1940 in Sunbury, Victoria, Australia at age 43, and was buried on 22 Aug 1940 in Fawkner Cemetery & Crematorium, Fawkner, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

May came to Victoria as a child, her mother married again, her
mother's name then became ANDERSON.

+ 11    iii. Alice LENNOX was born after 1930.
